Hegemony - where one group wields power over another, not through domination, but through coercion or consent.
Political Hegemony is the government.
Work-based Hegemony is the bosses/CEO.
Examples of hegemonic power:

- patriarchal hegemony
- cultural hegemony
- hegemonic structure of class
- political hegemony
Examples of non-hegemonic power:
- religion
Tide Hegemony
- women do the domestic jobs
- to wash up is feminine
- hegemonic standards is that women talk about domestic jobs
- normalises it
- to clean and to wash up is desirable
- you will find love
- societal expectations are sold to the audience
